So join this unique Delta Ride and travel together with your Mobile Camp, transported by a fleet of Mokoros, from one beautiful spot to another. Enjoy the peace and quiet, the grasslands and special encounters with elephants, giraffes, lechwe and incredible species of birds. A bonus; the staff including the chef also travels with you and makes sure that you want for nothing after a wonderful day of driving. THE ARRIVAL
Within 30 minutes you're in the saddle.
Just landed and still, it feels like a dream. Why you may ask? Within half an hour of your arrival at Maun Airport, you will be on the back of your trusty steed for the next seven days. At the southernmost tip of the Okavango Delta, your horse is waiting for you, ready for the adventure. Your luggage is loaded onto the mokoros by the friendly staff, ready to go. Afterwards, you immediately make the first ride to your basecamp, super comfortable with well-equipped tents and adventurous bucket showers. Of course, the chef has already prepared a good welcome meal.
THE MORNING
The most beautiful sunrise of your life.
Good morning! Yes, it is a good morning, because you start the day with a delicious breakfast by the campfire. When the sun carefully peaks over the horizon, it’s time for you to saddle up! In store for you, today are beautiful rides over elephant trails, in search of wild animals, special birds and the most beautiful views. Keep your eyes open as you gallop through the flooded grass plains, otherwise, you might miss a herd of buffalo running through the water or a lechwe chomping on delicious grasses. if you’re lucky, you might even come across a few elephants. Back at the camp, a delicious lunch is waiting for you, after which you can take a siesta under a leadwood tree. Just to think, that’s only one morning on horseback through the Okavango Delta.
THE EVENINGS
Cheers! Time for a sundowner.
Well rested after your siesta? Then it’s time for a relaxing ride, just before sunset. Take your four-legged friend for a leisurely walk across the grassy plains, while the golden rays of the sun play with the landscape and the sounds of the bush come to life. Breathtaking, that deserves a toast! Your guide will find you an incredible spot for a sundowner to take in the incredible scenery. This is what some would call a Kodak moment for sure. Back in camp, the table is ready with a delicious dinner, prepared on an open fire. Under the African starry sky, you can enjoy a little nightcap by the campfire. What a wonderful day. Sweet dreams!
