Day 1 - 4
Meeting Meerkats in the Makgadikgadi
Boarding time! Today you fly to Botswana. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by our local colleagues. They will show you the way to the next adventure; a bush plane flight to your first lodge. During the flight to Camp Kalahari at the Nwetwe Pan, you will have a beautiful view over the desert and once you arrive, the camp staff will show you to your luxurious safari tent. The next morning, you will meet a meerkat family or opt for an exciting game drive in search of zebras. A quad ride across the endless salt plains is also a must. The sunsets, time for a refreshing sundowner. Do you secretly want to stay another night? Let’s discuss that in a casual call.
Day 4 - 6
Face to face with Kalahari's predators.
In the impressive camp right next to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, everything revolves around special encounters. Encounters with wildlife, of course. From giraffes to antelopes, from the honey badger to the porcupine and the predators of the Kalahari. Cheetah, lion, leopard and brown hyena call this area home. This area also boasts incredible birdlife such as the Kori Bustard and Pale Chanting Goshawk. During your time here you will also enjoy many game drives! Enjoy the unique nighttime safari. Day 6 - 9
Camp Kanana, home base in Okavango Delta.
Welcome to Camp Kanana, a hidden gem on the Xudum River in the southwestern Okavango Delta. Here you will almost trip over the wild islands, palms, figs and ebony trees. Don’t forget to keep a close eye out; this is home to a large number of wildlife. How about lions, leopards and wild dogs? Not to mention a birder paradise! Meet the largest heron colonies in Africa and spot the Pels Fishing Owl. In Kanana’s private concession, you can go on guided walks, Mokoro excursions and night drives. But of course, you’ll also enjoy the incomparable game drives and motorboat excursions.
Day 9 - 12
Leave your footprints in the Okavango Delta.
You’re in for a real treat at Shinde lodge, a private concession in the north of the Okavango Delta. Shinde offers an all-around Delta experience. From here, you can, for example, cruise on a boat over the lagoons and waterways of the delta. Then a game drive across the grasslands. You might even spot a group of wild dogs on the hunt or a lazy leopard. Exciting! That’s not all though, how does a guided walking safari sound? Don’t even get us started on the lodge. It’s incredibly luxurious, has a gorgeous swimming pool, a good kitchen and even your own viewing deck! Thrillseekers: book an extra scenic flight with a helicopter.
Day 12 & 13
Collecting safari stories on your way back
Back to Maun! The adventure is almost over and it’s time to relax and recover from all your safari adventures, exciting moments and unforgettable encounters. Maybe make a pre-selection of those hundreds of wildlife photos? Enjoy the last lodge before you go home or extend your stay by a few days in Cape Town, which we can also arrange.
