Group Safari Botswana

AN EXCITING ADVENTURE WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS THROUGH BOTSWANA

Opt for the even bigger and cosier 17-day adventure.

You want to experience all the highlights of Botswana yourself, but share that experience with others. Our Mobile Group Safari offers the most authentic group tour in all of Botswana! Meet the Wayeyi tribe in a small travel company, and enjoy the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park. You will set up camp in Meru tents and spend the night in the middle of the wilderness. The camp staff will ensure that you lack nothing during this group tour of Botswana.

Day 1 & 2

On adventure from Maun to Makgadikgadi.

Your safari starts in Maun, where you will meet your super experienced guide in the morning at a pre-arranged meeting point. Then begins the first adventure of 180 km to the Boteti River Camp adjacent to Makgadikgadi National Park. The camp is set up for you, while you enjoy a delicious safari picnic. In the afternoon there is time for an interesting village walk with locals or enjoy your first game drive in the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. Your camp is situated on a lodge campsite with permanent ablutions. Adventurous, but with the necessary comforts!

Day 2 - 6

The untouched wilderness of the Kalahari.

Awoken by the sun, you depart for the pristine wilderness of the largest reserve in Botswana. Central Kalahari Game Reserve. For the next four days, you travel from camp to camp in the northern part of this area. Enjoy the vast plains, incredible starry skies and the excitement during game drives in search of all kinds of wildlife. Your campsite will have all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. This is adventure camping in its purest form. From here, you will explore the areas around Passarge Valley and Deception pan. Highlight: spot the famous black-maned lions of the Kalahari.

Day 6 - 7

Relax or enjoy a scenic flight from Maun.

After the last morning game drive through the Kalahari, the group returns to Maun. Time to relax and unwind. Or are you ready for the next adventure already? Take a scenic flight over the Delta for about 45 minutes (you can book this extra trip during your holiday). This magical experience offers a different perspective of the Okavango Delta’s distinctive water system. During the flight, it is even possible to spot large game animals such as elephants, giraffes and hippos. Note: Dinner in the Maun location is not included in the price.

Day 7 - 9

Sailing on a safari through the Okavango Delta.

The adventure of your now tightly knit group of adventurers continues, taking you to the southern tip of the Okavango Delta, a hidden gem in this little piece of paradise on earth. Once you’ve reached the edge of the Delta, you’ll meet the locals who will take you through the floodplains in their mokoros. Enjoy the spectacular scenery, spot wildlife and become one with nature. You will spend two days deep in the delta and, apart from the mokoro excursions, you will also go on walking safaris. And the overnight stay? You will spend the night on a small uninhabited island in the middle of the Okavango Delta. It will be an unforgettable experience!

Day 9 - 13

Fantastic game drives through Moremi Game Reserve.

With the Okavango Delta in the rear-view mirror, you will return for a while to Maun, which is now a familiar favourite. You will camp here for one night before exploring the Moremi Game Reserve the next day. Welcome to one of the best wilderness areas of Botswana, full of swamps and dry plains. The next three days are packed with game drives, wildlife and bird watching. Highlights: game drives at sunrise and sunset. Oh, and the lunches in the camp are delicious too! For the last night you will move on to Khwai, so you can discover this area from all sides.

Day 13 - 15

Elephant spotting in Chobe National Park.

Chobe National Park, with its diverse and striking landscapes, is your next destination. As you encounter more and more wildlife, you will also cross the drier area of Savuti. We bet that on your way to the northern Chobe River, you will come face to face with a herd of elephants! When you arrive at your destination, you will make several game drives along the banks of the Chobe River. After that, it’s time to set up camp in the specially designated areas with bush ablutions. First, you will stay 1 night in the Savuti area, after that you will move on to the northern part of the park, near the Chobe River.

Day 15 - 16

The incredible Victoria Falls.

After a short but equally beautiful game drive in the early morning, it is time for another boundless adventure. Boundless? Yes, because you will cross the border into Zimbabwe. There you will be totally engrossed by the Victoria Falls. There is plenty of time to visit the falls yourself, so be sure to take the time for that. At the end of the day, it’s time for a night in luxury, recovering with the group in a comfortable lodge (dinner at this location is for your own account). Well deserved rest!

Day 17

The end of this adventure or continue?

The Mobile Group Safari officially ends after breakfast at your lodge. Time to discuss and relive all your memories during the return trip. Or… would you like to extend your stay at Victoria Falls? Good plan. We will be happy to arrange more accommodation and activities for you, such as whitewater rafting or helicopter flights.

The price for this safari in Botswana starts from  €2.850,- p.p. Prices are exclusive of international flights and gratuities.
