“With the binoculars in hand on your own terrace, you don’t need anything else.”
Some places need few words. Duba Plains Camp is located in the heart of a remote private concession in the northern Okavango Delta, surrounded by permanent waterways and vast grasslands. Here you combine a classic tent safari with unparalleled luxury and comfort: air conditioning, a private plunge pool, and Swarovski binoculars and Canon cameras that you can use during your stay.
Luxury and wilderness
You sleep in a spacious tented suite on a raised deck, with large windows overlooking the floodplains. Outside awaits a private plunge pool, while inside you find tranquility and coolness thanks to the air conditioning. Each suite has an elegant bathroom with copper details, soft linen sheets, and a cozy lounge. And all of this with the sounds of the Delta as the background.

Water is always close by
Duba is situated along a permanent waterway, making water safaris possible year-round. In a mokoro, you glide silently between the lilies, while a fish eagle circles above you. Boat safaris are also an option – a particularly quiet way to explore the Delta without the sound of a motor.
Safari for connoisseurs
- Game drives in open 4×4 vehicles, always with a private guide
- Mokoro and boat safaris thanks to the permanent water
- Walking safaris during the morning hours (from 12 years old)
- Use of top quality Swarovski binoculars and Canon 5D cameras
- Birdwatching, photography tips, tracking, and quiet observation sessions

Dereck & Beverly Joubert
Dereck and Beverly Joubert are award-winning filmmakers (including for National Geographic), wildlife conservationists, and founders of Great Plains Conservation. For over 40 years, they have dedicated themselves to the conservation of wildlife in Africa, with a particular focus on lions. Their impressive documentaries and photography have raised global awareness of the vulnerability of ecosystems and the necessity for sustainable safaris.
Big wildlife without crowds
Duba Plains is known for its impressive predators such as lions, leopards, and wild dogs, but also elephants, buffalo, and red lechwes. The chances of seeing animals hunting or migrating across the plains are high here. And thanks to the limited number of vehicles in the concession, you often have those moments all to yourself.

A lodge to unwind
After a day in the bush, the camp is a peaceful haven. Reading in a hammock, enjoying a drink on your veranda, or editing photos on the deck overlooking hippos – anything is possible. In the evening, enjoy a refined candlelit dinner while the bush settles into its night rest.
“Forget your own camera, because with the Canon 5D and a 100–400mm lens, you’ll take images that still give you goosebumps at home.”
