Day 1 - 2
Welcome to Maun, gateway to the safari world
Your fly-in safari in Botswana begins in Maun, where modern Africa meets traditional culture. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by our local colleagues and taken to a comfortable lodge. Time to unwind from the journey, explore the city at your leisure, and prepare for the adventures to come. Tip: visit the local Wildlife Museum or enjoy a sundowner by the Thamalakane River. This first day is all about getting settled before heading into the wilderness. Tomorrow, the real adventure begins!
Day 2 - 4: Khwai Private Reserve: pure bush experience
Day 2 - 4
Khwai Private Reserve: pure bush experience
From Maun, you will be flown by bush plane to the iconic Khwai Private Game Reserve. Little Sable lodge is nestled in an untouched area full of wildlife. Each day, you will set out by jeep for game drives alongside elephants, lions, and antelopes. You will explore the Okavango Delta by mokoro, a traditional canoe. In the evenings, sundowners by the lagoon and evenings around the fire pit create a wonderfully cozy atmosphere. This luxury safari in Botswana combines comfort and authenticity with wildlife just a stone’s throw away.
Day 4 - 5: Sleeping under the starry sky at SkyBeds
Day 4 - 5
Sleeping under the starry sky at SkyBeds
A short helicopter flight takes you deeper into the bush, to one of Africa’s most unique sleeping spots: SkyBeds. During the day, you will take a trip to an underground photo hide, where you will come face-to-face with elephants and buffalo. In the evening, the highlight follows. Literally: you will sleep on an elevated platform under an open sky full of stars. The sounds of the bush will be your lullaby. Early in the morning, you go on a bushwalk with your guide. Back at the fire, breakfast awaits you before you fly by helicopter back towards the Delta.
Day 5 - 8: Duke’s Camp: stylish safari paradise in the Delta
Day 5 - 8
Duke's Camp: stylish safari paradise in the Delta
Welcome to Duke’s Camp, a new lodge in Botswana that’s already making a name for itself. Established by the team behind Jack’s Camp, this lodge offers a magical mix of comfort and adventure. The setting in a private concession of the Okavango Delta is breathtaking. Here you can experience day and night safaris, walking safaris, and water excursions (depending on water levels). Think elegant tents, colonial atmosphere, and stunning views. Here you experience a classic safari in Botswana with modern luxury and timeless charm. Wildlife is never far away: sometimes elephants simply walk past your tent.
Day 8 - 10: Chobe River, boat safaris among the elephants
Day 8 - 10
Chobe River, boat safaris among the elephants
A short flight takes you to Kasane in northern Botswana. From Chobe River Lodge on the banks of the Chobe River, you will go on a boat safari: the best way to watch elephants come down to bathe. As the sun dips below the horizon, you sail past hippos, crocodiles, and countless birds. Jeep safaris are also possible, driving along the riverbanks in search of big game. The tranquility, the view, and the gentle breeze on the river provide relaxation after intense safari days. Sit back and soak it all in.
Day 10 - 12: Victoria Falls, ending at the Zambezi river
Day 10 - 12
Victoria Falls, concluding at the Zambezi River
Time for a cross-border highlight: Victoria Falls. By transfer, you reach Mpala Jena Camp in Zimbabwe, a luxury hideaway on the Zambezi. Enjoy pure peace, beautiful views over the water, and the chance to visit the falls up close. The lodge offers game drives, river cruises, and guided walks – or simply relax in your suite with a private terrace and river view. This is the ideal place to conclude your safari in style!
Day 12 - 13: Return flight home, full of stories
Day 12 - 13
Return flight home, full of stories
The return journey home is the perfect time to reminisce and review photos. After nearly two weeks of flying, boating, driving, and walking through the wilderness, you return with a bag full of memories. Botswana has made an impression, and we hope that feeling stays with you for a long time. We are, of course, also curious about your stories. Until the next adventure?
