“Here you experience the Okavango in its purest form: exciting, calm, and leaves you wanting more”
On the edge of the remote Maxa Lagoon, where the crystal-clear waters of the Okavango meet the Selinda Spillway, lies Maxa Camp. A charming and intimate bush hideaway. With only five tented suites, this is a place where attention to nature, simplicity, and experience are central. Maxa Camp is safari in Botswana as it was meant to be: focused on adventure, freedom, and the wild nature.
Stylish simplicity on the way
You sleep in light canvas tents on elevated wooden platforms, all facing the lagoon. Each accommodation has an en-suite bathroom inside and outside, with soft cotton fabrics, handmade wicker details, and a charming veranda. The family suite has two bedrooms and shared bathroom facilities. You read it: perfect for families or friends.

Safari at your own pace
- Mokoro trips along the waterways
- Guided walks along channels and lagoons
- Game drives, both day and night, in landscapes that are friendly and wild
- Local culture: encounters with the Bukakhwe and insights into natural traditions
- Access by helicopter, with a view over the delta as a prelude to what lies ahead

A place with a soul
The communal area – the Maxa Piazza – is surrounded by sand, canvas, and traditional earth walls. Savor fragrant bread from the wood oven, dine under the bare stars, or cool off in the Sala with hammocks and cushions. Everything breathes a relaxed safari feeling, without pretensions.
